hello
« on: September 13, 2014, 05:12:54 AM »
I live in the US and have been interested in building a dig controller for my 125 gallon reef tank.  Have been interested in the PI since I first heard about before it's release. And this looks like the perfect project to follow, in particular with the new b+ out now.

One thing I noticed is that all discussions seem to assume everyone has LEDS, I am still a bit old school running 2x400 watt halides, so fewer channels for lighting but more fans for cooling and control for shutting them down if the tank gets too hot.

Hello and welcome, fan control is not that complicated, we're trying to push the things a little on the software side, please share your ideas/code if you like, hopefully we'll be in the position to release a first version of the software soon.
