Hola!
« on: March 06, 2014, 11:20:57 PM »
I'm promazine - Real name Chris.

I like pretty much anything with an engine - if it goes dangerously fast, then i like it even more :)

Apart from cars/bikes/karts etc - I like tinkering with stuff, messing about with things that I know nothing about, in the hopes that I end up not breaking it and knowing everything there is to know about it!

Keeping a marine aquarium fits nicely into that - there are plenty of expensive gadgets on the market that seem just about simple enough for me to attempt making them myself :)

Current completed marine DIY list:

Reactors
LED unit
LED Controller
Mag cleaner (failed!)
Tank stand

Current " in the making"  DIY list:

Balling containers
"proper" reactor (last one was crap
modding a TMC sig 450
making a sump

And of course, building an amazing reef controller with a Raspberry Pi!

Hope to see this forum grow and turn our reef controller idea into a fantastic reality!

A fellow petrolhead, DIY reef gadget freak :)

What motors you had then? Bikes I've had limited variety (XT350 and a few different flavours of CBR) and a few half decent sports cars :)

K series mini was the most fun - 160vvc with a pg1 gearbox and LSD from one ofte old 200brms :)
Bike wise I had aprilias, rs50 and 2 rs125's - ridden plenty of bigger bikes, but never actually got round to doing my test  ::)
More recently was my defender 90 - nice motor that really would go anywhere :)

Sold them all off when I bought my house, and I used to spend so much time "down the yard" I decided t try a new hobby that would keep me indoors - hence the marine fish :)
I'm till down the yard a lot though messing with cars and bikes. Plenty going on down there with Karts and quads etc :)

I love the defenders :) first caar I drove was a V8 110 :)

I've no toys on that front at mo. No bike and car is a diesel :( it's a 3 series coupe so can still drift a bit, but not like the M3 (last sports car I had). Used to have a 4.5L petrol landrcuiser as well - that was nice, especilally in the snow :)

Haha - yes, of all my past vehicles, my Lanny was best of the lot, even though it was a tad on the slow side ;)
